The MSI Play-In Stage begins on May 3. We’re in for a string of exciting matches, as emerging regions battle each other for the chance to break into the Main Event! Of course, it can be hard to follow games filled with unfamiliar teams, so we’ve prepared a number of betting tips to help you make the most out of your money.
MSI Play-In Betting Tips Day 1
Gambit Esports vs Kaos Latin Gamers
Lol Msi Betting App
We’ll be honest: Kaos Latin Gamers (KLG) are likely the worst team at the Mid-Season Invitational. They can be very explosive in the early game thanks to great play from their jungler Tierwulf. However, even if they secure a lead, KLG are quick to throw it with a reckless invade or an overaggressive teamfight.
Gambit Gaming find themselves in a much better spot. They have a solid 3-man core of PvPStejos, Diamondprox, and Kira.
Granted, their bottom lane doesn’t exactly set the world ablaze, but it’s stable enough to hold off KLG’s onslaught. Finally, Gambit have a much better grasp of the macro game. And as long as they don’t cave under the early game pressure, they’ll be sure to outmaneuver their opponents.
You can bet on Gambit Esports winning the match for odds of 1.68 (17/25) @ArcaneBet.
The LCK heads into MSI as the favorite sitting at -135, with the LPL sitting with the second best odds to win the first international event of 2019. Like I stated earlier, I think it will be the year of Korea after a rough 2018 season for the region. This will be the year of Korea after a rough 2018 season for the region. Kaos Latin Gamers vs Ascension Gaming
Despite what we’ve said about Kaos Latin Gamers, Ascension Gaming aren’t exactly miles ahead of them. Both teams don’t have the best game plans, and they often rely on chaotic skirmishes and gimmicky tactics to close out their games. In short, we don’t expect them to make it far at the 2018 MSI.
Even so, Ascension Gaming have a formidable carry-oriented top laner in Rockky, and they know how to play with a side lane threat. Intreso also showed some glimpses of brilliance in the jungle. So if he can keep up with KLG’s Tierwulf, Ascension Gaming will simply splitpush their enemies to death.
You can bet on Ascension Gaming clinching the W for odds of 2.25 (5/4)@ArcaneBet.

Dire Wolves vs PENTAGRAM
Lol Msi Betting Game
Dire Wolves are a decent team. They’ve been to their fair share of international events, so participating in the MSI Play-In Stage won’t put any extra pressure on them. Moreover, they have a good sense for initiating teamfights, and their jungler Shernfire excels at playing around his solo lanes. Still, this leads to Dire Wolves completely disregarding their bot lane, and k1ng and Cupcake aren’t solid enough to pull through on their own.
If you don’t know who PENTAGRAM are, they’re the rebranded team Rampage. Much like Dire Wolves, they’re no strangers to major tournaments. Their playstyle revolves around the carries in Ramune and YutoriMoyashi. PENTAGRAM tend to focus their efforts on the bottom side of the map, and they’re great at setting up ganks and 4-man plays. This can cause some issues for the top lane, but luckily, Paz is solid enough to stand up for himself. In the end, PENTAGRAM’s playstyle is a much better fit for the AD carry-centric meta, so we’re giving the edge to them.
